This drought tolerant, low maintenance “lawn-alternative” mix of warm season, perennial, native grasses, contains both Blue Grama and Buffalo Grass. These two grass species work well together as a mixture because they have complementary vegetative characteristics. These grasses “green-up” later in the spring, but will stay green even during the hot, dry summer months with little or no watering! This mixture is best planted on well-drained sandy or gravely soil-types. Buffalo Grass will do well on clay (1 lb covers approx. 4000sqft )
