Suggested Uses: Excellent wetland and shoreline restoration plant! Will grow in submerged, emergent or moist terrestrial conditions. A great addition to a rain garden. Can also be used in freshwater aquariums.  Spreads predominantly by rhizomes but not overly aggressive. Prefers acidic conditions.

Native Range: Native throughout the U.S.

Pollinators/Habitat Value: Wind pollinated but often spreads by rhizomes. These plants provide important protection for tadpoles and small fish in shallow water.
