Suggested Uses: River Bulrush is an attractive bulrush for shoreline restoration and large rain gardens. It has attractive seed heads and is a good plant to use as a buffer against wave action. It is frequently found growing out of shallow water at the edges of wetlands.
Native Range: Native throughout Minnesota and across most of the contiguous U.S. Most commonly found in the Midwest and the Northeast.
Wildlife Value: Provides food and cover for many of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles!
