Suggested Uses:

This is one of the lowest growing of the goldenrods. It's showy arching flower stalks are splashy and blooms later than the others. It does well on dry, sandy and gravelly sites and is an excellent choice for upland prairie and shoreline restoration. It is attractive to numerous beneficial insects. Butterflies enjoy their nectar late in the season!

More Info: Goldenrod does NOT cause hay fever or allergies. It is pollinated by insects, not by the wind. Goldfinches may enjoy these seeds!
Folklore:
Name: Solidago comes from the latin "solidare", meaning "to make whole."
