Suggested Uses:

An excellent, aggressive, rhizomatous grass used for shoreline restoration. Beautiful arching green leaves!

Interesting Facts:

Wildlife: It can form dense colonies and is important in providing cover for wetland birds and other wildlife.
Other Info: Cordgrass has very tough stems and can be planted along shorelines to slow waves and prevent erosion. It was also used by Native Americans and early settlers. A dominant grass of the moist, tallgrass prairie.
