Suggested Uses:

This is a beautiful goldenrod and because of the range of soil and sun exposure possibilities, this plant lends itself very well to the shoreline restoration project! It is also a nice choice for the shaded rain-garden. It's arching flower stalks even look a bit like golden rain! This plant attracts a variety of beneficial insects which are also a source of food for woodland songbirds.

Interesting Facts

More Info: Goldenrod does NOT cause hay fever or allergies. It is pollinated by insects, not by the wind.
Name: Solidago comes from the latin "solidare", meaning "to make whole." The flower clumps seem to zig-zag up the stem.
Other Names: Feathery False Lily of the Valley
