Flowers: The large flat-topped 4"-8" cluster is made up of individual fuzzy flower heads. The flower heads are 1/3" wide and contain only disk flowers.
Leaves: The whorled thick leaves smell like vanilla when crushed.

 

Suggested Uses:

This large, stately plant is much like the Joe-Pye-Weed (Eupatorium maculatum), but is more useful in shaded areas. Makes an excellent plant for the shaded rain garden or shoreline! It is well-liked by both birds and butterflies!
