Please Note: These plants are annuals and are grown as seedlings. Partridge pea has a nice fine texture, especially useful for a container garden and as an annual, will flower throughout the summer.

Flowers: The 1 1/2" flowers have 5 slightly unequal petals, 10 stamens, and brown anthers. The flowers bloom where the leaves meet the stem.
Leaves: The leaves are 6-8" long and divided into 10-18 oblong leaflets in a feather-like arrangement.

Suggested Uses:

This plant is an annual wildflower and is often included in native seed mixes to add a little color the first year. It grows best on upland sandier or gravel soils. This very showy annual can be used in the rock garden or on sandy soils and will bloom throughout the summer!
