Flowers: The flower heads in a long cluster along short stems. There are usually 8 flowers in each flower head.
Leaves: The leaves are very narrow.

 

Suggested Uses:

This flower is native to the upland prairie and is grows well in sandy or gravelly soil. Its low growth habit makes it a nice choice for a rock garden. It is attractive to both birds and butterflies!
