Warm season, perennial grass. It has a stoloniferous and fibrous root system.

Suggested Uses:

This grass is favored as a low maintenance lawn alternative. See our "Western Laid-back " lawn mix the "Seed" area of our Shop Online page. It is also used for erosion control on soils that are less sandy. Very drought resistant. Good for use on prairie cemetaries.

Wildlife Uses: Buffalo grass is grazed by wild animals. Grazed by deer, buffalo, horses and livestock.
More Info: It makes good low-growing lawn. It will also prevent erosion of wind blown areas.
