Flowers: The 5 tiny petal-like ray flowers surround a large center disk.
Leaves: The ovate or lance-shaped leaves are have toothed or wavy edges.

 

Suggested Uses:

This is a very interesting and unique plant. Its leaves are rough and silvery green and its flowers are  white sky-gazing buttons neatly arranged and displayed on the top of the flower stalk. Makes a unique addition to any fresh cut or dried flower bouquet.

 

Interesting Facts:

Medicinal Uses: The leaves contain tannin, which is thought to be beneficial for treating burns. It is applied either as fresh leaves, or mashed and applied as a poultice. Tea from the leaves was used for fevers.
Food Uses:
Other Uses: Wild Quinine lasts a long time in fresh or dried flower arrangements.
